ABOUT

DBT HUB

DBT Hub was created to make Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills practical, human, and usable for sensitive people and the therapists who support them. We are focused on bridging the gap between learning DBT and living it day to day.

OUR STORY

As a DBT therapist, I have always loved the structure of the model and the way skills can transform lives. Over time, I began noticing a gap between understanding a skill in session and being able to confidently apply it in daily life.

In my work with clients, I saw how valuable skills-coaching calls can be. These are the moments between sessions when clients practice using DBT in real time. However, many clients needed more time to process and rehearse a skill before or after those calls. They benefitted from having written reminders, examples, and guided practice prompts that helped them organize their thoughts and apply what they were learning.

DBT Hub began as a way to offer that support. It started as a secondary resource for my clients, a place where they could review skills, practice them in small, manageable ways, and reconnect with the “how” of DBT between sessions.

As I continued to build resources for clients, I also realized how much therapists could benefit from a similar approach. Many clinicians were looking for ways to make DBT concepts more applicable in their day-to-day work and to stay connected to the model after training. I wanted to create a place for bite-sized, applicable micro-trainings that address the nuanced situations we face as DBT providers.

 WHAT SETS US APART

At DBT Hub, we focus on applying DBT skills in real life. We emphasize practice, humanity, and creativity. The goal is to help both clients and clinicians use DBT as a living, breathing set of skills that truly fit into daily life.

LIFE WORTH LIVING

Hi, I’m Kristen Shuler, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, DBT therapist, and educator based in Springfield, Missouri. I’ve spent years helping highly sensitive people and therapists learn to use DBT in ways that feel natural and sustainable.

My clinical practice, DBT Ozarks, provides comprehensive DBT therapy and consultation teams. DBT Hub grew from that work. It is a separate educational platform that brings DBT concepts to life through self-paced courses, skills groups, and professional trainings.

I believe sensitivity is not a flaw; it is a form of wisdom. And when paired with skill, it becomes a superpower.
